We are seeking to establish a pool of assistants who can support teachers in providing high-quality education programs to students with special needs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students.
The Role
The role of Education Assistant is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a strong commitment to supporting the educational success of students. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting teachers in the delivery of planned education programs, including special education and therapy programs, to students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties.
* The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents, and be able to provide feedback on education and therapy programs.
* The successful candidate will also be required to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs, including special education and occupational and/or physiotherapy programs.
We highly value applicants who have a high level of empathy and patience when working with students with special needs, and are able to work collaboratively with staff members to develop effective education programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with relevant work rights
* A valid Working With Children Check and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
