Our client operates in the global auction industry, specialising in the sale of high value equipment and assets across international markets. With operations spanning multiple countries, the business manages large transaction volumes and complex financial processes that support sellers, buyers, and partners around the world.

They are now seeking a Team Leader, Financial Operations to support the day to day running of their finance operations function. This role is well suited to someone who is ready to step into leadership, or an existing team leader looking to lead a larger, more complex team within a multinational environment.

You will lead a specialist disbursements team and work closely with local and international finance colleagues, including teams based in the United States. The focus is practical and operational, ensuring payments are accurate, reconciliations are sound, and deadlines are met.

About the role

This is a hands on leadership role with strong operational exposure.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading, coaching, and supporting a team of finance operations specialists
* Overseeing disbursements and settlement of auction proceeds
* Ensuring payments are processed accurately and within agreed timeframes
* Reviewing reconciliations and supporting month end close activities
* Partnering with international finance teams, including US based stakeholders
* Ensuring internal controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards are met
* Supporting continuous improvement of processes and workflows
* Acting as an escalation point for complex finance queries

About you

This role will suit someone who has strong finance fundamentals and is ready to grow their leadership capability.

You will likely bring:

* Experience in finance operations, accounting, or settlements within a complex environment
* Exposure to large or multinational organisations, ideally with international finance teams
* Some people leadership experience, or clear readiness to step into leadership
* Strong attention to detail and comfort working with deadlines and reconciliations
* A collaborative, practical approach to working with stakeholders
* An accounting qualification, or equivalent hands on experience
