As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services for a client facility or specialized portions of a mixed use facility.
This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function and focuses on technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What You'll Do
Provide formal supervision to employees.
Monitor the training and development of staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
Set and track staff and department deadlines.
Mentor and coach as needed.
Manage the local relationship with the client while working with other stakeholders to meet all contractual requirements.
Responsible for ensuring the completion of configuration management, work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs within the agreed contractual timeframe.
Resolve unforeseen circumstances that occur and inform the client or senior management when needed.
Verify facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed contractual timeframe.
Oversee Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests.
Check daily routine cleanup of the data halls and review findings.
Confirm all deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards.
Ensure that all records are updated following any changes made.
Ensure that documentation is also kept up to date for all applicable processes.
Prepare detailed procedures for work execution.
Conduct risk assessments and present recommended solutions to clients and senior management.
Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
Apply knowledge of own discipline and collaborate with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Relevant operating experience for the facility infrastructure installed at the client facility.
May require local jurisdiction licences or certification, as needed.
Ability to read and understand complex facility blueprints and Mechanical/Electrical one-line drawings preferred.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to motivate the team to drive results for quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Proficiency and aptitude to use other technology tools and software.
Extensive organisational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
Ability to process and prioritise competing customer requests.

This role is to support CBRE's on site static client that operates a Hyperscale Data Center environment.
Reporting to the Account Manager and working alongside tradesmen Electrical & AC & R, Supervisors, Engineers, Contract support and external contractors.
Monday to Friday 37.5 hour per week on site at Truganina, Melbourne.
