Wood is recruiting a Health & Wellbeing Advisor, to join its Operations business supporting our workforce in the APAC region.
Based in either Brisbane, Melbourne or our Perth office, this is a permanent/full-time position.
This new role is critical to ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our workforce.
It provides strategic oversight and operational support across wellbeing promotion, injury prevention and rehabilitation, and compliance with legislative requirements.
By proactively managing health risks the role contributes directly to improved employee's health and wellbeing outcomes and drives a greater understanding of the importance of psychosocial health in the workplace.
This role will be reporting to the APAC VP HSEQ and will be a member of the HSEQ team to centrally manage all related duties.

Responsibilities
Develop and embed the health and wellbeing strategy across the APAC business and drive health programs underpin this
Support the business in understanding psychosocial hazards and controls impacting our workforce
Liaise with the company appointed workers compensation insurers and service providers to ensure there is continual high level strategic analysis of claims to drive the best outcome for our employees
Ensure State or Territory Workers Compensation legislation is adhered to
Provide strategic advice to Management and Human Resources when fitness for work concerns is raised
Site visits to provide proactive health and rehabilitation advice and training as requirement
Health risk assessments reviews for office based / WFH employees

Allied Health Professional or experience in occupational health and rehabilitation for oil, gas and energy sectors
Experience as a Rehabilitation / Return to Work Coordinator
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Knowledge of both health and business principles to balance safety with productivity
Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
Well organised with proven experience delivery of actions
