Add expected salary to your profile for insightsTerra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria’s history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.About the opportunity:We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Materials Manager to join the Terra Verde joint venture. The Warehouse and Materials Manager you will provide a strategic direction to develop a warehousing plan and the implement the appropriate inventory software and management systems. You will also be required to review the anticipated material flow in and out over the project duration and develop a warehouse layout and management system.This role will manage the supervision of Expediting and Logistics to ensure the projects quality, safety, and environmental management plan guidelines on schedule and within budget.Key Responsibilities:· Management of project warehousing, site services activities, materials laydowns, & logistics activity with particular emphasis on management on warehousing and warehouse storage areas, including receipt, inspection, and dispatch of materials & equipment from site.· Manage of materials stock levels and tracking records within Inventory systems for materials & consumable’s, associated logistics movement & storage location.· Management of Purchase Requisition creation and Goods Receipt in the SAP system.· Identify the required resources in sufficient time to allow the required acquisition processes to be actioned.· Management of all inbound Expediting & Logistics activities to ensure an on-time schedule.· Managing expediting documentation as per the PO deliverables.· Provide direction and support for your supervision and promote a positive team culture· Develop and implement safe work methods recognising the requirements of your crew and the environment, perform regular inspection and audits on site to test compliance.· Overall area management of site services team including materials, equipment, and subcontractors (when requested). Implement the developed work methods and ensure that the required quality standards are met safely and within the environmental constraints.Key Requirements:· Previous experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferred· Previous experience with a large multi-item warehousing and distribution organisation· Knowledge and experience with contemporary material management systems, preferably SAP· Proven planning, problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity and guide others in the resolution of problem· Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment with a proactive adaptable attitude· Sound understanding of local and international import / export legislation or requirements· experience in the establishment of a goods in/out software systemWhy Join Us?At Terra Verde, we are committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.
