About the Role:
The Youth Engagement and Connections Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering inclusive, supportive, and engaging environments that provide young people with meaningful opportunities for social connection, community participation, and personal development.
Key responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating programs and events for young people aged 12 to 25 across multiple settings including youth hubs, school-based engagements, and community activations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program Planning and Delivery: Plan, deliver, and evaluate programs and events that are youth-informed and address the needs of young people in collaboration with other team members in the Youth Development Unit.
* Group Supervision: Oversee and supervise groups of young people, ensuring effective risk management and incident handling in alignment with relevant City policies and procedures.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and develop partnerships with youth-focused services and organisations across the municipality.
* Operational Flexibility: Undertake after-hours and weekend work as required to support operational needs and ensure service continuity.
