Opportunity
We are looking for a Corporate Risk and Governance Senior Analyst to join our team in either Melbourne or Sydney on a nine‐month max term contract. This role will provide operational support to the Risk & Governance team, ensuring effective implementation of risk frameworks, governance processes and compliance standards across the organisation while increasing AI utilisation and productivity. This position supports risk culture, regulatory obligations and partners with stakeholders to embed robust risk management practices.
Responsibilities
* Maintain risk management frameworks and governance policies.
* Uplift AI utilisation and delivery across the risk team and business units.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in risk processes and systems.
* Support enhancements to ICFR frameworks and control libraries, including simplification and rationalisation of controls.
* Provide advice on risk and compliance matters to Finance, People & Culture, Legal and CEO Office business units.
* Oversee risk reporting and ensure timely escalation of material risks, including logging, tracking and closure of risk incidents.
* Assist the business to better understand risk, including root cause analysis.
* Support cross‐functional initiatives with Group Office, AIA Auditors, Line 2 Risk and other BU Line 1 Risk teams to align ICFR risk framework.
* Work with key stakeholders to embed risk culture and deliver strategic outcomes.
* Collaborate with the Manager on capability uplift programmes, including training and cultural initiatives to improve risk awareness and control effectiveness.
* Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
* Support Finance with various Executive and Board governance committees, including Steering Committees and other committee meetings as required.
Qualifications
* Experience in risk/govment roles, preferably within finance.
* Demonstrated ability to champion AI, risk and compliance and influence stakeholders.
* Experience supporting a risk‐focused culture and delivering shared value outcomes for customers, partners and the enterprise.
* Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
* Ability to build rapport and be seen as a leader/go‐to support and work across multi‐disciplinary teams in complex and rapid‐paced environments.
* Understanding of value drivers and levers, insight‐driven and able to re‐imagine and articulate new ways forward, especially noting AI and process efficiency initiatives.
* Passion to serve customers and equip and enable team to partner with stakeholders to drive enterprise outcomes.
* Ability to lead, influence, negotiate and engage at all levels of the organisation, effectively building rapport and mutually beneficial partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
