We are seeking a skilled Survey Manager to join our team on an exciting project in regional NSW.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surveying services for all phases of the project, from early planning to completion. They will manage a team of survey contractors and ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate survey contractors to complete survey field and office work.
* Manage structure, plans, specifications, standards and implications for project accountabilities.
* Utilise survey techniques and modern equipment when appropriate to ensure tasks are completed in the most cost-effective way.
* Interpret project and technical documentation and monitor compliance with specifications.
* Lead, manage and monitor multiple survey contractors at any one time.
* Liaise with engineers and supervisors to ensure there is sufficient survey support planned for and allocated.
* Manage survey contractors to ensure survey resources are utilised efficiently across the various projects.
* Monitoring progress and quality of the survey contractor's works.
* Provide instruction where required.
* Act as an advisor to land surveying team regarding tasks and operations.
* Forecast survey costs for the project.
* Work with the project teams to ensure documentation for PC is captured and submitted with in the required time frames. This includes all required as built and cadastral information.
* Check and maintain all legal requirements relating to surveying on the project. Have knowledge and understanding of legislation, systems, procedures and technology associated with the project surveying
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Spatial Science or 10+ years surveying experience.
* Qualifications in Construction Management or Quality Assurance is preferred.
* 10 years surveying experience with a minimum of 3 years in construction surveying.
* Experience in cadastral surveying is preferred but not essential.
* Experience in technical management roles on significant projects.
About You:
* Willing to FIFO/DIDO to remote locations in NSW.
* Be open to working a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off).
* Or, willing to relocate yourself within an hour's commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
* Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects.
