Role Description
This is a casual contract Sydney-based role for an Electrical Engineer to work with our University of Sydney research team in a leading lab on campus.
* Strong data acquisition and system‐integration skills. Experience integrating sensors and instruments, setting up repeatable experiments, synchronizing multi-channel data streams, and managing real‐time or offline data acquisition.
* Signal‐processing and algorithm‐development ability. Ability to implement and test DSP algorithm for micro‐Doppler signature extraction, such as filtering, clutter removal, and artifact rejection.
* Programming ability: Python and/or MATLAB. Ability to write clean and well‐documented code for data acquisition, signal processing, algorithm testing, data analysis, and visualization. The candidate should be able to translate mathematical expressions and signal‐processing concepts into executable code without relying solely on AI.
* Electronics Engineering or a similar discipline. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Communications, Documentation, and Presentations Skills. Ability to document experimental procedures, maintain organized data and code records, prepare clear technical summaries, and communicate progress, issues, and results.
Preferred Skills
