Career Opportunities: Clinical Workflow Analyst
Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Workflow Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing, designing, building, configuring, testing and converting our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
The EMR System is an integrated platform with the vision of 'One patient' and 'One integrated record' to optimise the quality and safety of patient care. As a Clinical Workflow Analyst, you will review existing workflows, content and configuration to optimise current workflows and design new workflows from a medical perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse and improve clinical workflows to ensure efficient and effective patient care
* Design and implement new workflows to support emerging healthcare trends
* Collaborate with the EMR team, service departments and clinical staff to ensure seamless integration of the EMR system
* Develop and maintain business analytic skills to investigate and understand issues that may have clinical implications
* Work closely with stakeholders to identify and prioritise workflow improvements
Requirements:
* Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree – MBBS, MD or equivalent
* A medical background, with an interest in computerised workflows, best practice, innovation, clinical documentation and healthcare informatics
* Demonstrated experience working in a metropolitan hospital environment and understanding of clinical workflows in the acute and subacute inpatient settings
* Critical thinking, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail
* Knowledge of and experience with the Oracle Health (Cerner) EMR or equivalent EMR/Clinical Information System
