Job Description
We are seeking a Journalist to generate content and maintain the reputation of a leading trade publication through research and expertise.
The role involves producing articles for online, print, and multimedia platforms covering areas such as superannuation, tax, estate planning, financial planning, insurance, debt, practice management, and investment.
* Create engaging news articles daily for the online masthead.
* Write in-depth feature articles for the print edition on a rotating schedule, including mini-features or conference coverage.
* Approve and edit material for a journal published annually and regularly online.
* Attend industry conferences and events as needed, involving domestic travel.
* Assist the editor with multimedia content, including podcasts and videos.
* Coordinate with various teams within the company.
* Meet strict deadlines with quick turnaround times.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, media studies, or a related field.
* At least 1 year of experience in financial journalism; digital media experience is preferred, but print experience is also valued.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong networking abilities.
* Genuine interest or prior knowledge of Australia's financial services industry.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
* Strong attention to detail.
