Job Overview
As a key member of our communication team, the radio operator plays a critical role in responding to distress calls and coordinating emergency responses with operational staff.
* Utilizing advanced technology, respond promptly and accurately to distress signals, ensuring timely assistance is provided to those in need.
* Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including WA Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, to ensure seamless communication and efficient response to emergencies.
* Broadcast essential information, such as weather updates and local navigational guidance, on designated channels to keep the community informed.
While prior experience in radio operations or telecommunications is not necessary, all training will be provided. The shift schedule involves working four-hour shifts, with at least one per month, primarily on weekends and public holidays from 6am to 6pm.
