Your role at St John of God BallaratWe are seeking applications for an Exercise Physiologist to join our Allied Health team on a fixed-term basis until March 2026.The Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical exercise physiology services to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills.The PositionDemonstrated ability to prescribe, deliver and supervise individual and group remedial and maintenance exercise programs for patients attending the service, including but not limited to gym and/or hydrotherapy.Contributes to the delivery of high quality, compassionate, safe clinical services within a range of settings i.e.
Inpatient, Outpatient, or home/community-based settings.Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session instructed.
This requires liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.Develop appropriate treatment goals and plans for all patients/clients in collaboration with other team members.Active participation in the multidisciplinary team.Referrals to external agencies are initiated in a timely manner.Uses an evidence-based, problem-solving approach to clinical care and service development.Demonstrates consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in Exercise Physiology and related clinical areas.We are seeking a qualified Exercise Physiologist with a tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, or a related field, with eligibility for accreditation in Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
