Customisation Production Manager @THEAUSSIEPAL
We are looking for an experienced UV Printer and Laser Engraver Operator to manage our stainless steel bottle engraving and customisation operations. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong technical understanding of commercial-sized printing machines, laser engraving equipment, and adobe illustrator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining UV printing and laser engraving machines, preparing artwork for production, managing daily engraving workflows, and leading a small production team of approximately 2 to 6 staff. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail, strong production management skills, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality customised products for corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operation of our UV printing and laser engraving production area. You will prepare customer logos and artwork files using Adobe Illustrator, set up machines for production, test engraving and print quality, and ensure all customised products meet customer specifications before dispatch.
You will also be responsible for organising production schedules, allocating work to team members, checking completed orders, maintaining machine cleanliness, and troubleshooting basic equipment or artwork issues. As part of the role, you will help improve workflow efficiency and ensure our business-to-business customisation orders are completed accurately and on time.
Main Duties
Your duties will include operating UV printers and laser engraving machines, setting up stainless steel bottles for engraving, preparing and adjusting logo artwork, checking file formats, positioning artwork correctly, conducting test runs, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards. You will also manage a small team, provide guidance and training, monitor production output, and communicate any production issues to management.
Skills and Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial-sized printing machines, laser engraving machines, or similar production equipment. Experience with Adobe Illustrator is essential, particularly for preparing customer logos, adjusting vector artwork, and creating files suitable for engraving or UV printing.
You should be highly organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Strong attention to detail is essential, as this role involves customising corporate logos and branded products where accuracy is critical. Previous experience managing a small team or supervising production staff will be highly regarded.
