About Puckapunyal Health Centre
Puckapunyal Military Area is located approximately 13km west of Seymour. First used as a mobilisation and training area during WWI and was formally established in the early 1940's. It is home to the Headquarters of the Combined Arms Training Centre, Army Knowledge Centre and Schools of Artillery & Transport. The health centre services up to 4000 Defence members and provides primary medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy, dental, pharmaceutical and mental health. There is a 12 bed low dependency ward which operates 24/7. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday including shared on-call and weekend 2 hour morning shift.
Your Impact
We are seeking a Medical Officer/General Practitioner to join us in a Permanent Part Time capacity.
As a Medical Officer, you will:
* Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
* Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel
* Assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support
* Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership
* Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed
What You'll Need
* FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration
* Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
* Minimum 2 years' full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
* Australian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
