Chief Operating Officer Role
We are seeking a seasoned Chief Operating Officer to lead our operations and project teams. The COO will support the General Manager in driving business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operations & Project Delivery: Engineering/design, project management, production, procurement, warehousing
* Project Financials: Cost control, delivery time-lines, margin preservation across projects from $0.5M to $10M+
* Systems & Processes: Implement best practices, operational platforms (e.g., Netsuite)
* Team Leadership: Manage/influence 5-7 functional leads in engineering, production, projects, procurement, finance
* Culture Stewardship: Maintain transparent, merit-based, self-policing culture
Requirements:
* Engineering or technical background: Degree preferred
* Proven leader: Commercial accountability required
* Experience: Engineering, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, similar sectors
* Skill Set: Leading technically strong teams, driving change, presenting business cases, influencing board-level decisions
* Personal Qualities: Grounded, humble, strategic – not afraid to roll up sleeves
