About the role
As an Accounts Officer your role will include, overseeing the Additional Service Request (ASR) project and liaise with ASR Project Manager regarding ASR claims, Pass Through Cost (PTC) and related charges for billing to Department of Home Affairs (DHA). Assisting the Accountant and Finance & Administration Manager on financial transactions to ensure accurate, ethical and legal obligations are met in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities
* Assist in performing monthly account reconciliations
* Assist in preparation and analysis of Financial Reports including budgets and forecasts as per Company Policy and Procedures
* Assist in preparing weekly Cashflow and Accounts Receivable reports
* Assist in preparing monthly PTC reports and ASR reports
* Assist in preparing financial reports in AUD and conversion to USD monthly
* Promote workplace health and safety in the workplace in line with Company policies, procedures and standards
* Promote and contribute positively to an environment free from harassment, bullying and discrimination in line with Company policies, procedures, and standards
Key experience
* Understanding of basic Australian Accounting Standards degree qualified and related industry work experiences
* Intermediate Microsoft skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher
* Able to work as part of a team as well as independently when required
* Able to pass any required health and medical assessments
* Able to visit and work within a regional processing centre
