A National and successful planned and reactive maintenance contractor with over 40 branches around the UK is now looking to recruit a Branch Manager for their West Yorkshire branch.The core responsibility of the Branch Operations Manager is to ensure the effective management, delivery, and control of all operational aspects of projects within their branch, while enforcing compliance with health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for employees.Working closely with the Branch Commercial Manager, the Branch Operations Manager will oversee the assignment of management teams to new projects, establish resource programs, and manage projects from initiation to completion. This includes managing Operation Managers, Contract Managers, Operatives, Scheduling teams, and Admin staff.The role involves coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to meet project objectives within budget and schedule constraints, ensuring all operational staff are competent and compliant with health and safety requirements, and proactively implementing health and safety plans.Additional responsibilities include developing project plans, supporting complex contract requirements, managing supply chain relationships, overseeing valuation and cash collection, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting and documentation.Leadership and team development are key, including guiding staff, mentoring junior team members, conducting training, leading recruitment, and fostering a strong health and safety culture.The Branch Manager will also focus on branch growth by understanding company processes, managing quotations, collaborating with regional teams, and exploring new business opportunities in line with company strategy. Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and quality standards is essential.Other duties include managing weekly meetings, leading project mobilizations, improving operational performance, liaising with community engagement and IT teams, and ensuring staff are trained on relevant ICT systems.Qualifications required include GCSEs (Maths and English), SMSTS Award, Pitman Excel Intermediate, CSCS card, and experience in the social housing industry within planned and reactive maintenance works.The salary range is £65,000 - £70,000 per annum, with a car allowance of £6,500 or a company car, and a branch bonus of 5% - 30% based on performance.
