Kick off 2026 as Event Manager @ Contemporary Company Where Flexibility is Key!
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Events Manager wanting the freedom and flexibility that comes working remotely. We are seeking an incredibly organised, hard‑working multi‑tasker to event manage our range of virtual and physical events.
6 Degrees Media’s tailored events stand out in a crowded market because of its journalistic approach to content creation; and for its high performing team’s collective skills and creativity to deliver memorable attendee and sponsor experiences beyond the norm, beyond compare. Our event sponsors are among the most successful brands in the world including Google, Dell Technologies, Microsoft, Oracle and many others. As Events Manager, your role will include:
- Booking venues for conferences and managing third‑party suppliers (venues, AV, photographers, etc.)
- Managing logistics and venues onsite (pre‑conference and on‑the‑day)
- Sponsor liaison (for exhibition/stands; floor plans, etc.) pre‑conference and onsite
Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role (ideally 2 to 3 years+)
- Self‑starter with excellent time‑management skills
- Ability to think outside the box; calm under pressure; solutions‑oriented!
- Effective negotiator – contracts with venues and suppliers
- Able to create budgets in Excel per roundtable and/or conference
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with EventsAir (desirable but not essential)
Start date is early 2026! Salary will be commensurate with experience. Hours can be flexible (e.g. 9am to 3pm for the right candidate).
