The Account Executive plays a vital role within an account service team. Under the guidance of Account Directors and Account Managers, you’ll ensure the smooth running of projects and campaigns – from communicating with all members of the Showpony team to facing clients.
Responsibilities
* Provide general support (project and administration) to the account service team in the execution of advertising / marketing campaigns for clients.
* Assist with research, proposal development and job execution.
* Assist managing jobs internally and with clients - including preparing timelines, booking time in studio, preparing studio briefs, taking and supervising alterations, dispatching files.
* Ensure that other agency systems and procedures are followed including opening and closing of jobs, material instructions, dispatch of material, preparing estimates, contact reports, purchase orders, timesheets, proof reading, etc.
* Close and prepare all jobs for billing, including job costing reports.
* Maintain the daily/weekly “Work in Progress” report and assists in the organisation of team meetings.
* Liaising and communication with clients
* Develop understanding of clients’ business.
* Develop knowledge of agency structure and functions, utilising resources appropriately and efficiently.
* Conduct competitor reviews as required.
* The Account Executive plays a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the office, assisting with administrative tasks such as coordinating coffee orders, managing office supplies, and supporting team members with various ad-hoc requests.
Experience/Skills
* Tertiary qualified in a communications, marketing, media or similar discipline
* Although preferable, no previous agency experience is required.
* Timely communication to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
* Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel & PowerPoint or Google Suite - Sheets, Docs, Slides.
* Comfortable with digital and social media platforms.
