ECA works in partnership with quality higher education providers such as Victoria University, Charles Sturt University, University of Canberra and London Metropolitan University to provide a world-class educational experience.

We are currently seeking several suitably qualified individuals to deliver into our Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education programs at the Victoria University Brisbane campus in Fortitude Valley.

The VU Brisbane campus is a young campus that has been operating for just over two years delivering the university's award-winning Block Model. In this pedagogical approach, students study one subject at a time in interactive, workshop-style classes where they get to know their teacher and classmates, put theory into practice, apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios, and receive fast feedback on their assessments.

Key Responsibilities
The major responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

* Teaching and providing effective student support; supporting a culture of student-centred learning; providing timely feedback on assessments to support student learning; and implementing and monitoring early intervention strategies for students at risk.
* Supporting and implementing VU Brisbane processes for quality assurance and continuous improvement across all academic functions
* Diligently ensuring that student marking is completely in a timely manner and with consideration of university policies and guidelines
* Participating in required meetings and moderation activities with relevant Brisbane and Melbourne college faculty
* Working collegially with the Course Coordinator, Early Childhood and the Campus Associate Director Academic to maintain appropriate standards in line with the position description.

As The Successful Candidate You Will Ideally Have

* A PhD (preferred), or a Masters degree in a relevant discipline with significant professional experience
* Experience working in higher education and teaching university level courses
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
* An ability to work with multiple stakeholders and to manage effective working relationships
* Experience with international students
* Relevant professional and/or industry experience (desirable)
* A graduate certificate in tertiary teaching (highly regarded)
