We invite you to embrace something new and work with us to deliver this best-in-class service.Role OverviewAs a valued member of our Access Aged Care Billing Team, the Senior Billing Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring that billing operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with high levels of accuracy.We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Billing Officer to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for someone with experience in billing, finance, or healthcare who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. The Senior Billing Officer will be responsible for managing billing for GP and specialist consultations, liaising with doctors, reviewing and auditing data, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices. You’ll support operational efficiency and compliance with industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and manage billing for GP and Specialist consults, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Review consult data for errors, discrepancies, and compliance with billing guidelines.Track and manage outstanding consultations (WIP), ensuring timely follow-up with doctors.Oversee billing documentation, including record-keeping and Medbill communications.Support operational tasks to enhance efficiency and meet ongoing needs.Contribute to the development and refinement of billing practices and systems.Investigate and respond to customer billing queries professionally and promptly.Required Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of full-time experience in billing or finance roles.Experience in reporting and data analysis to support decision-making.Experience coordinating daily operations and ensuring workflow efficiency.Involvement in developing or leading process improvements.Desirable: Medicare billing processes and medical billing procedures with practice management systems.Skills & AttributesProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Strong communication skills for stakeholder management.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage responsibilities effectively.High attention to detail, especially in billing and reporting.Initiative for process improvements.Compliance-driven mindset with high work standards.Ability to provide accurate data insights through timely reporting.Investigative mindset with curiosity to identify and resolve issues.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.Why Join Us?Access Telehealth offers a supportive, dynamic work environment.
