Our client is a well-established and growing property business specialising in affordable house & land packages delivered in partnership with leading Australian builders.
They are looking for an Accountant to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis, at their Milton office. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, payroll, and inter-entity structures - ideal for an Accountant looking to step up and grow with the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
* Reconciliation and management of inter-entity loans and invoicing
* Monthly journals including prepayments, depreciation and accruals
* End-of-month processes, workpapers and commission calculations
* Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and statutory obligations
* Debtor management and ongoing cash flow support
* Monthly management reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis
* Budgeting support and general reporting
* Payroll processing, payroll tax and WorkCover calculations
* Assistance with commercial leasing matters including invoicing and rent reviews
* Close collaboration with the CFO to improve systems, controls and efficiencies
*About You:*
* A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
* 3+ years' experience in an Accounting role (or strong post-graduate experience)
* Experience in construction, development or commercial property (highly regarded)
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills and confidence using accounting systems
* A proactive mindset with the ability to identify and improve processes
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines
* Clear communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
