**About this opportunity**
This is an exciting time to join the Villawood team as it goes through an exciting period of change and growth, with over $1M recently invested in equipment to increase the amount of recyclable content which go into our products, true to our commitment to the circular economy.
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Materials Planner is a critical role responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly planning and procurement processes, ensuring materials for production are purchased and delivered to site on time.
Through your strong attention to detail and analytical skills, you will take ownership of the materials planning process - purchasing, physical inventories, SLOBs Management, BOM and routing management as well as production scheduling as required. In addition, you will make quality a priority and support a safety-first culture within the team.
Whilst no two days will look the same, this role will see you:
- Creating Purchase Orders based on MRP requirements
- Tracking & following up on POs imminently due & overdue (both imported and local)
- Leading the stocktakes, inventories, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Communicating & acting on feedback relating to variations in usage.
- Providing and sharing insights that may impact division and other Pact Packaging sites
- Working closely with both production and suppliers to maximize production planning and capacity, particularly during peak periods
**About you**
- Materials Planning background (ideally gained within a FMCG environment)
- Strong customer focus with exceptional interpersonal, communication & presentation skills
- Strong ability to question the status quo and challenge the business positively
- Advanced SAP and Excel skills
