Position Overview
As a Refrigeration Technician you will be responsible for the installation and repair of industrial and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems in defence facilities.
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute preventative maintenance programs for refrigeration and AC systems.
* Perform reactive and corrective maintenance, including inspection, classification, fault finding, and repairs.
* Ensure continuity of essential building and engineering services across defence facilities.
* Conduct maintenance tasks and planned works, meeting operational delivery requirements for Defence on‐base accommodation.
* Actively drive regular and sustainable improvement in safety performance.
Requirements
* Full Australian Working Rights.
* Relevant trade qualification for the state.
* Full Class C driver's licence and White Card.
* Current NT Electrical Licence.
* Unrestricted Arctick Licence.
* Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously or as part of a small team.
* Flexible approach, reliable and hardworking.
* Physically fit and safety‐focused.
* Must pass a pre‐employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
* Local to Darwin.
