We are currently seeking a male Support Worker to join our dedicated team, providing personalised 1:1 support to some of our male clients in the Gympie Region.
As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting older Australians in their homes through our Aged Care Home Care services.
Your care and support will help our clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Your responsibilities will include: Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering Supporting household tasks including general cleaning and maintenance Accompanying clients to medical appointments Assisting with grocery shopping and other errands We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact in their community.

Key responsibilities include: Depending on our client's needs, and the home care package or plan, you may be required to perform some or all of the following tasks: Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light cleaning Assisting in achievement of goals and building of capacity Assisting with personal care needs such as showering, dressing, toileting, eating/drinking Transportation to, and assistance with, outings such as shopping or social activities Transportation to medical appointments Implementing tasks and routines outlined by an approved medical professional Maintaining and monitoring health and behaviour changes on an ongoing basis Building rapport and collaborating effectively to establish positive relationships We will discuss specific client needs with you during interview to ensure the best match possible for both our client and yourself.
About you: Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or Community); A current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification; Computer savvy: have a smart phone, computer or tablet and ability to document accurate notes about all support shifts; An Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance; Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships; Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community; Rights to work in Australia; Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses If you meet the above requirements, and share our Company Values of being Authentic; Lifelong Learners; Compassionate; Empowering; Respectful, and Innovative then you could be the person we are looking for
We offer: Permanent part time or Casual contracts depending on your location and availability; Minimum hourly rate of $34.58 ($43.23 Casual) plus Super (SCHADS Level 2.1 or higher depending on qualification held); Travel allowance of $0.99c per kilometre; Salary packaging up to $15,900 per FBT year prorate; Meal entertainment and venue hire annual cap of $2,650 per annum prorate; A suite of employee award and recognition programs; Discounted private health insurance through HCF; A Referral Incentive program; Ongoing learning and development and career advancement opportunities.
