You will lead a small, dedicated team of economic development and business engagement officers to plan and implement initiatives that support local business growth, attract private investment, and engage public sector stakeholders to drive sustainable and inclusive economic outcomes.Reporting to the Director of Advocacy and Strategy, you will proactively manage high-impact projects that contribute to Kalgoorlie-Boulder's economic vitality. This includes facilitating partnerships with industry and government, delivering place-based programs to activate key precincts, and supporting business development opportunities that enhance regional liveability and prosperity.We seek someone strategic, community-focused, and confident in leading a team in a fast-paced environment. You will have excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills, along with a passion for creating positive economic change in regional communities.The ideal candidate will possess:• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience in economic development or a related field;• Demonstrated leadership experience, including staff supervision and development;• Proven success in planning and delivering economic development programs;• Experience working with business and government to drive investment, innovation, or economic growth;• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills;• A current WA "C" Class driver's license and a National Police Clearance (no more than six months old).This is a temporary, full-time fixed-term position to cover parental leave.
