Synergie is partnering with a global leader in food manufacturing and seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters and Electrical Fitters to join a brand new, state-of-the-art FMCG industrial facility in Perth's South East. This is a rare opportunity to be involved from the ground up, supporting the commissioning, maintenance, and optimisation of high-speed food production equipment in a modern, purpose-built facility.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you'll play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability, food safety compliance, and continuous production performance.

The Roles
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support both preventative and reactive maintenance across automated bakery and packaging lines.
Mechanical Fitter Key Responsibilities
* Oversee end-to-end production line processes to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability
* Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned plant and equipment
* Complete end-of-week shutdown maintenance tasks and planned activities
* Perform testing, calibration, and validation of line and associated process equipment
* Identify equipment defects and implement corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance solutions
* Apply strong technical, mechanical, and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently
* Support and assist with contractor supervision to ensure safe and compliant work practices
* Comply with all site policies, procedures, and safety requirements, including GMP, Glass Handling, HACCP, WHS, Environmental standards, LOTO, Confined Space, and Boiler Operations
To be a success, you will have
* Trade Certificate: Fitting and Machining or other relevant Mechanical Qualifications.
* Previous FMCG/Food or pharmaceutical manufacture work experience will be highly regarded.
* Competent welder using TIG / MIG / Stick/ Oxy Acetylene.
* Competent using Lathe, milling and radial drill machines.
* Competent following and applying Pneumatic & Hydraulic schematics.

Electrical Fitter Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end production line processes to ensure optimal equipment performance, reliability, and uptime
* Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
* Complete end-of-week shutdown maintenance tasks and planned activities
* Perform testing, calibration, and verification of production line and associated process equipment
* Identify equipment defects and implement corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance strategies
* Scope, develop, and execute PLC programming and automation improvement projects
* Apply strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex electrical and control system issues
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and production performance across the line
* Adhere to all site-specific policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, including GMP, Glass Handling, HACCP, WHS, Environmental standards, LOTO, Confined Space, and Boiler Operations
To be a success, you will have
* Electrical trade certificate and A Grade Electrical License.
* FMCG/Food or pharmaceutical manufacture work experience will be highly regarded.
* Basic Computer Skills: Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Experience using MEX will be highly regarded.
* Basic Refrigeration knowledge.
* Competent using Siemens (PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, etc.) products.
* Competent following electrical schematic drawings.
* General understanding of pneumatics and Hydraulic.
* Understanding of the 3 phase and Single-Phase motor fault finding and maintenance.
* ABB Robots, Allen-Bradely (PLC/HMI) and Ignition SCADA experience will be beneficial.

* Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Fitter/Electrician with A grade licence
* Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, or high-speed production environments
* Strong fault-finding skills and results driven attitude
* Understanding of hygiene, food safety, and GMP standards (highly regarded)
* Ability to work in a team-focused, continuous improvement culture
