Remote Mining Site Seeks Experienced Excavator Operator
We are currently seeking a skilled excavator operator to join our team at a remote mining site in Cloncurry. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in rugged environments and are passionate about heavy machinery operations.
* Maintaining both excavator and grader certifications
* Previous experience in roadworks is essential for success in this role
Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain equipment, and meet specific performance standards. A flat rate of $52/hour applies, commensurate with experience.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Operate a 50t digger and grading the road on a 160M grader using auto GPS
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks on excavators and graders to ensure optimal performance
3. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and objectives
Requirements include:
* Hold current excavator RII certification and relevant experience
* Hold current grader RII certification and relevant experience
* Be able to obtain a clear police check and pass a pre-employment medical & D&A screening
* Hold a valid drivers licence (HR or Car)
* Complete mine site online inductions on a computer at home
