Cairns Harbourside Hotel is preparing for its high season — and with strong, steady bookings throughout year‐round, we're expanding our housekeeping team to support consistent demand.
We're looking for reliable, hands‐on team members to fill long‐term, stable housekeeping roles. Whether you're experienced or looking to build a long‐term career in hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.
A Bit About the Role
We currently have multiple Housekeeping Professional positions available. Each includes a mix of (3) room attendant day duties plus cross‐training in other areas such as:
* Public areas (1–2 shifts)
* Laundry (1–2 shifts)
* Houseperson (1–2 shifts)
Typical shifts start between 7:00 am–8:00 am and finish around 2:00 pm–3:00 pm, on a rotating roster with two days off in a row. Availability on at least one weekend day is required.
These are part‐time roles covered under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009], Level 2 – Guest Services Grade 2.
A Bit About You
* You take pride in your work, show up consistently, and want to be part of a team that works hard and supports each other.
* Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, cleaning, or similar (preferred, not essential).
* Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and be on your feet for extended periods.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards.
* Reliable, punctual and adaptable to different tasks.
* Open to cross‐training and learning new skills.
* Friendly and respectful in guest and team interactions.
* Available to work across a rotating 7‐day roster (with at least 1 weekend day).
