THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, the Payroll Officer joins a large, high-volume team. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Accurate and timely processing of Payruns
- Coding and checking timesheets
- Terminations, offline adjustments, banking and reconciliations, variations and deductions
- Master file updates, altering allowances
- Respond to queries via both phone and email, providing high-quality customer service

This is not an entry-level role, but if you are early in your payroll career, this is the natural next step. This is a large organisation with 100 years of operation in a secure and stable industry, and this company is willing to provide up-skilling and develop your skillset to add to the fundamentals you already know about Payroll.
CHALLENGES
It will be a high-volume role (5,000+ employees) with pay runs happening every week, so there is little downtime in a role like this. Healthcare is complex, with many agreements/awards covered, so this will be a steep learning curve.
IDEAL APPLICANTS
2 years of payroll experience is expected. If you have experience in Health, it will go a long way, and you are encouraged to apply. Ultimately, if you have a fundamental understanding of Payroll and the "why", you will be considered for this role.
