Graduate/Graduating Civil Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join our close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or graduating individual to kick-start their career in a supportive and dynamic environment, working on a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects.

DWB Group is a family-owned business located in North Geelong, providing civil engineering consultation, project management, estimating preparation, road safety audits, and service locating services. Tasks will include but are not limited to:
* Interpret civil design and specifications suitable for both construction and pricing of works, as well as management of subcontractors
* Support project planning, scheduling, estimating and cost control
* Quantity take-off for materials, and processes for use during construction and estimating
* Monitoring and carrying out QA functions through the estimation and construction process
* Collaborate with engineers, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve tender estimates and project outcomes
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and safety requirements
* Adhering to and implementing procedures as per IMS and specification requirements
* Preparation of Traffic Management Plans / Traffic Guidance Schemes per project requirements
* Preparation of cost reporting comparison following completion of project, for relevant stakeholders and billable clients
* Identifying changes to scope of work, design and methodology that has a cost implication to the delivery of the project, and subsequent preparation of variations to end clients
* General contract administration for civil projects

* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills
* Establishment of detailed construction programs using Microsoft Project, generally in Gannt Chart format, based on architectural, civil construction drawings and specifications
* Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable
* Proactive mindset with initiative to solve problems and keep tasks moving
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team
* Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards governing civil construction projects
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain cost estimates to relevant stakeholders clearly
* Attention to detail and ability to work effectively
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar software is desirable
Qualifications
Must have the following;
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or graduating within 6 months)
* Australian Driver’s License
* OHS Induction Card (White Card)
