The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant provides advanced clinical expertise and decision making within a correctional environment. The role offers professional and clinical leadership support, mentorship, and guidance to nurses, medical officers, nursing students, and the multi-disciplinary team. It is responsible for supporting the delivery of educational requirements for the nursing staff.

* Salary range: $139,951 to $151,949 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
* 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
* Plus options may be available
Requirements
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration:
* Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
* Queensland Corrective Services Criminal History Check: Applicants must have a current Queensland Corrective Services criminal history clearance as per the Corrective Services Act 2006.
* Highly desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
* Driver licence: This position requires a valid Class C motor vehicle licence.
