Clinical Nurse Consultant
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across the WREN inpatient unit and HITH team.
The opportunity also allows you to act as a clinical expert, professional role model and change agent to promote practice development and quality initiatives that promote the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality customer service.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff, allied health staff, and lived experience staff.
* Develop and implement evidence-based clinical nursing practices.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
* Identify and prioritize areas for improvement and develop strategies to address these gaps.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health.
* Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area is preferable.
* Ability to implement and provide education and training for clinical staff.
* Ability to assess, plan, co-ordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients.
* Comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice, recovery orientated practice, national standards, and relevant frameworks including Safewards.
* Knowledge and experience in the implementation of service improvement and quality projects.
* Ability to provide clinical supervision.
* Experience working in perinatal mental health or eating disorders is preferable.
