Your new role
As a Senior ICT Procurement Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring continuity of ICT operations and supporting strategic procurement outcomes. You will work within a busy environment experiencing increased demand, contributing specialist expertise to manage a significant procurement workload. Your responsibilities will include:
* Lead ICT procurement activities in line with government procurement frameworks.
* Clear a backlog of procurement actions and contract renewals.
* Manage high‑volume procurement tasks during peak periods.
* Support urgent procurement requirements for major ICT projects.
* Provide mentoring and capability uplift to APS staff.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong experience applying the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) in ICT procurement.
* Sound understanding of the PGPA Act and procurement governance.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement activities and tender processes.
* Proven capability in preparing procurement documentation and managing ICT contracts.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
