Salary Range: $75,000 to $85,000
Reporting To: Tourism Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Manager to join our team at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm Hotel in the picturesque Kimberley region of Western Australia. You'll be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, managing staff, ensuring outstanding guest service, and maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable dining environment for all visitors. This leadership role is essential for the smooth operation of the restaurant, especially in a remote setting.
You'll manage service, staff scheduling, inventory, guest feedback, and collaborate with the kitchen team to deliver top-quality food and hospitality.
Responsibilities
* Supervise, select, train, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver exceptional service and foster professional development.
* Coordinate daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, and assist with reservations and guest orders.
* Manage reservations, guest inquiries, and address customer feedback promptly, conferring with customers to ensure satisfaction.
* Ensure the restaurant is clean, presentable, and compliant with health regulations and facility standards.
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, manage stock rotation, and maintain accurate stock and financial records.
* Prepare rosters and schedules to ensure adequate staffing during busy periods and events.
* Oversee cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting procedures.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team for menu planning and to ensure high-quality food and timely service.
* Train new staff and provide ongoing support and development.
* Implement policies and procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
* Manage waste and recycling to maintain environmental standards.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
* Maintain accurate service logs, records, and report issues promptly.
* Work closely with suppliers and contractors for restaurant maintenance and improvements.
* Plan and organise special functions and events, purchasing and pricing goods within budget constraints.
What We're Looking For
* AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)
* Demonstrated experience managing restaurant and/or operations and teams.
Desirable
* Experience in hotel, resort, or remote hospitality management.
* Exposure to regional or remote hospitality operations.
* Familiarity with basic food safety and OH&S requirements.
* Experience in regional or remote hospitality management.
