Senior Advisor Heritage Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Advisor Heritage to support our Australian assets and projects. This pivotal role will provide expert guidance in ACH management, stakeholder engagement, and compliance.
You will play a key role in strengthening relationships with First Nations stakeholders, supporting heritage agreement administration, and ensuring best-practice ACH data and risk management across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Building trusted relationships with First Nations stakeholders and support the administration of heritage agreements, including survey logistics and monitoring.
2. Providing strategic and technical advice on ACH management, compliance, and risk, including QA/QC of heritage reports and spatial data.
3. Managing ACH data systems, including GIS mapping (ArcGIS), document control, and ensuring consistency between reports and datasets.
4. Collaborating on the development of ACH frameworks, policies, and procedures, and support operational teams with survey planning and quality assurance.
5. Contributing to continuous improvement in ACH practices aligned with global standards and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in archaeology, anthropology, GIS, ACH management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and native title management, including stakeholder engagement.
* Strong technical skills in GIS (ArcGIS preferred), spatial data management, and report QA/QC.
* Sound understanding of ACH and native title legislation, compliance, and risk frameworks.
* Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and engage sensitively with First Nations communities.
* Familiarity with industry standards such as UNDRIP, UNGPs, and ICMM in community and social performance contexts.
