The Role
In a Montessori classroom, all educators serve as a link between the Prepared Environment and the children. Their role is to observe the children and guide them in their own unique learning process, to help them develop a life‐long love of learning.
As a Room Leader, you are expected to be a leading member of a team which provides high quality education and cares for all enrolled children that is consistent with the service philosophy, procedures and policies, the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework.
About you
* Diploma or Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care
* Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role
* Current Working with Children Check
* First Aid and CPR Certificate
* Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
* Strong understanding of industry legislation, compliance and regulations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment
* Strong understanding of the importance of family communications
