About the RoleA rare and rewarding opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our busy Planning department at the City of Kwinana. This position provides a wide range of administrative, clerical and customer service duties to support the City's Planning and Development Team. The position engages frequently with internal teams and external stakeholders/customers and is expected to provide a high level of customer service, responding to, and providing information, across a broad range of typically routine Planning Department related enquiries in person, over the phone and in writing including emails.

About You
* Demonstrate relevant experience in providing broad based administration activities including minute taking, to support the operations of a business area.
* Previous experience in local government planning.
* Good competency in Microsoft Office products, word processing, including the preparation of a range of documentation and spreadsheets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders and customers and gain their cooperation.
* Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, initiative, ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment, and ability to prioritise tasks.
* Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential issues with a high level of tact and discretion and sound judgement.
* Qualification or extensive experience in business administration.
