Advance Rural Research – Join EFNLHN as a Nurse Consultant – Clinical Research

As a Nurse Consultant – Clinical Research, you'll provide expert nursing leadership in a role dedicated to improving access to clinical trials for rural, regional, and remote communities through the Australian Teletrial Program – South Australia.

Working with a dedicated team, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding rural health research capacity by contributing operational and clinical expertise to the planning, coordination, and delivery of clinical trials. Your responsibilities will include coordinating patient consents and assessments, maintaining clinical research documentation, supporting regulatory submissions, and ensuring rigorous trial oversight and reporting.

You'll operate with significant autonomy, contributing to the development of research strategies and leading initiatives that improve patient outcomes. This may include:

* Providing clinical leadership to nurses.
* Leading or coordinating research-focused projects and programs.

This is a highly accountable role that requires independent decision-making, scholarly activity, and a commitment to aligning practice with evolving policy and research standards.

What We're Looking For:

* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Proven experience in working with computerised information systems, preferably within a clinical or medical environment.
* Demonstrated competence in arranging patient visits, and undertaking clinical trial related procedures (ECG, vitals, venepuncture, cannulation, IV and Sub-cutaneous drug administration), and maintaining quality management processes according to ICH/GCP and workplace standards.
* Demonstrated competency in completing measures of mental health, or willingness to undertake training to complete these.
