We're seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to play a key role in managing and optimising a large, complex cost base within a Financial Services environment.
This is a true business partnering role, working closely with cost owners and senior stakeholders to drive cost transparency, accountability and better decision-making.
Initial 12 month MTC.
What you'll be doing Partnering with cost owners to manage, challenge and optimise a significant operating expense base Providing clear insight into cost drivers, variances and trends, turning numbers into actionable recommendations Leading budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting for operating expenses, including scenario analysis Producing management reporting and cost commentary for senior leaders Strengthening cost governance, controls and accountability What we're looking for Proven experience managing and analysing large expense bases in a management accounting or finance business partnering role Minimum 3-4 years of management accounting experience required Strong track record working directly with cost owners and non-finance stakeholders Deep understanding of OPEX management, cost control and variance analysis Confident communicator who can challenge assumptions and influence outcomes Experience in regulated or complex environments Why this role High-impact role with real ownership of cost performance and outcomes Regular exposure to senior leaders and budget holders Opportunity to influence how costs are managed across the organisation
