Role Description
Remote full‑time Regional Account Manager – West. Responsible for managing and expanding client accounts within the designated region, building and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring client satisfaction. Includes preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, and achieving sales targets. The role engages a diverse customer base, including shopfitters, cabinet makers, kitchen & bathroom specialists, timber wholesalers and hardware resellers.
Responsibilities
- Grow profitability and sales with existing customers.
- Establish and develop business with new customers not currently buying from Forest One as a preferred supplier.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for growth into recent products.
- Implement and launch new products into relevant customers as required.
- Develop and demonstrate a detailed understanding of markets.
- Develop strong business partnerships with representatives of potential customers in the relevant segment.
- Capture market and customer insight via CRM as per organisational requirements.
- Ensure pricing is strategically set via State Sales Manager to maximise profitability.
- Provide feedback to State Sales Manager on competitor pricing.
- Allocate customers to appropriate pricing structure, list and contract as approved by State Sales Manager.
- Create, implement, and develop major accounts / pricing initiatives.
- Maintain customer price contracts in CRM.
- Maintain customer records in CRM.
- Assist with establishment of credit accounts as required by National Credit Manager.
- Assist with collection of funds as required by National Credit Manager.
- Comply with all Forest One policies and procedures and successfully complete required trainings.
- Assist in clearing slow/obsolete stocks.
- Ensure disputes, product failures and credit claims are handled in a timely and skilled manner.
- Ensure customers, suppliers and visitors are treated politely and professionally, with a high standard of customer service.
Qualifications
- Sales and account management experience.
- Experience in the building or construction industry (highly regarded).
- Experience in hardware and resellers (highly regarded).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Knowledge of sustainable materials building practices (highly regarded).
- Knowledge of designer materials and finishes (highly regarded).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel to regional Victoria for client meetings.
- Account management and customer relationship skills.
- Presentation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Experience in the building, construction, or interior design industry is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
