Our federal government client is looking for Network and Security Engineers who hold an NV1 clearance, or higher.
This role is open to ACT, SA and VIC. This opportunity does not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for security clearance.
Estimated start date is November. The initial contract length is 12 months, with 2 x 12-month extensions.
Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a cyber role.
Network Security Engineer
Will plan, implement and operate network service/systems, to include hardware and virtual environments. They test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices, provide feedback on network requirements, including network architecture and infrastructure. They assess complex information systems utilising a range of contemporary security frameworks, toolsets, and knowledge of malicious actor techniques, tools and processes. The Network Security Engineer role will assess critical infrastructure systems in a collaborative team environment and contribute to specific advice on hardening and defending systems against advanced threats.
Key duties:
Assess a wide range of network systems and configurations for cyber security issues.
Conduct workshops, run assessment tooling and view system documentation and configurations.
Provide detailed recommendations and advice to improve the cyber security of a network.
Security Engineer
Will implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
Key duties:
Assess a wide range of systems and configurations for cyber security issues.
Conduct workshops and run assessment tooling to elicit information required for an accurate assessment of an environment.
Provide recommendations for remediation of cyber security issues.
