We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Commercial Real Estate business. The successful candidate will formulate the overall strategy, execute origination with client teams, and drive business success through improved client penetration and profitability.
Responsibilities
* Develop a comprehensive business strategy for CRE in line with global banking, client, and bank objectives.
* Execute origination with client teams and across products to identify transactions and cross-sell opportunities.
* Organize and drive business success through improvement in client penetration and profitability.
Business Management
* Ensure transaction structures align with client requirements, market standards, and internal parameters.
* Oversee deal selection, conflict resolution, and risk management to ensure business consistency with strategy and risk appetite.
* Produce accurate forecasting and financial oversight of the business.
Processes and Governance
* Manage business and risk management process issues with risk, governance, and control committees.
* Ensure deals are properly screened and selected in line with the Bank's strategy and risk appetite.
* Provide oversight of portfolio risks through portfolio reviews and escalate to senior management/risk forums where required.
Talent Development and Management
* Lead through example and build an appropriate culture and values.
* Set tone and expectations from the team and work with risk and control partners.
* Ensure ongoing training and development of people; holders of critical functions suitably skilled and qualified for their roles.
Risk Management
* Enforce a culture of risk management, control, and governance.
* Ensure compliance with risk management processes, including country-level Portfolio Standards, Underwriting Standards, Credit Underwriting Principles (CUP), PPGs.
* Adequate systems, controls, and procedures in place to comply with Group and Business policies; advise on and monitor major risk issues and portfolio concentrations with Portfolio Analytics & Monitoring (PAM).
