An innovative Federal Government Agency is looking to engage an experienced Senior Cloud FinOps Specialist to play a pivotal role in optimising cloud expenditure across teams & maximise value from cloud within the organisation. The Senior Cloud FinOps Specialist will secure an initial 12 month contract with a 12 month option to extend, based anywhere in Australia.
The Successful Senior Cloud FinOps Specialist will be responsible for but not limited to;
* Lead the analysis and optimisation of cloud spend across all cloud platforms & Identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Establish & maintain FinOps processes, frameworks, & governance base on agency's cloud operating model.
* Collaborate with engineering, product, finance, and Cloud Governance teams to promote financial awareness and accountability in cloud usage.
* Develop & deliver reports, dashboards, and insights to highlight trends, risks, and recommendations for optimisation.
* Evaluate & implement cloud cost management tools and automation solutions to streamline FinOps activities.
The successful Senior Cloud FinOps Specialist will have experience in the following:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in cloud financial management, cloud operations, or related roles.
* Demonstrated experience with major cloud platforms (eg. AWS, Azure, M365, GCP) and their billing models.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
* Experience with cloud native
