About the roles:
We are currently building our support worker team for roles in home care. Working with our older clients in the Bellarine Area. We have a passion for working with older people and helping them remain in their homes for as long as they choose. We want to build a team of experienced, compassionate people who have the same vision.
Working within your local area, you will be supported by a dedicated experienced team, to assist clients to live their best lives in their own homes. We match clients with carers who have compatible interests to support our clients with:
* Personal care such as showering, dressing, and helping with personal hygiene.
* Palliative care.
* Shopping.
* Preparing and cooking meals.
* Household cleaning.
* Attending appointments or activities within the community.
* Social support and companionship.
* Assisting people to improve their social and daily living skills
* Mental Health Support
Please note as this is a developing opportunity the majority of our available work currently is in the area of domestic assistance and social support.
The Shifts
* Casual positions available. These are across the full week and may include PM or Night / Sleepover shifts
* Casual Pay Rates starting at $41.76 per hour Monday to Friday. Penalty rates available for PM and Night shifts as well as weekends and public holidays
* You choose when and where to work
* Shifts length varies from 2 hours to 24 hours in length.
We are looking for people who have:
* A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent
* At least 12 months qualified experience in Aged Care / Home Care
* Experience working with people with mental health concerns is preferred
* A passion for caring for people and delivering a high standard of care.
* Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent documentation skills
* Access to a smartphone.
* A current driver’s license and access to a registered, insured and well-presented car.
* The right to work in Australia & can obtain a satisfactory Police Check.
* Working with Children Check
