Employee Relations Specialist Role
Become a key player in shaping our workforce culture and ensuring seamless employee relations. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on various employee relations initiatives, managing disputes, and leading negotiations with unions and industry bodies.
You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing industrial relations strategies that promote fairness, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leverage your exceptional communication skills to lead enterprise bargaining negotiations and administer industrial instruments.
* Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
* Serve as the primary liaison with unions and industry representatives, fostering strong relationships and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
* Collaborate with the People and Culture team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs that drive a positive work environment.
* Provide coaching and leadership to senior managers, empowering them to make informed decisions and drive strategic outcomes.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and industrial agreements, ensuring compliance and advising on best practices.
* Analyze data and present insights to inform business decisions and contribute to strategic planning.
* Support quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) initiatives and employment documentation processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
* Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in Employee and Industrial Relations management, with proven leadership experience in managing personnel and driving strategic outcomes.
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of Australian/NZ employment law and IR frameworks.
* Experience in union negotiations and enterprise agreements is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Excel, Word, SharePoint, and data management is essential.
