Key Role: Support Student Success
The Learning Support Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring students with disabilities receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized plans that cater to students' diverse needs.
* Provide hands-on assistance to students during lessons, activities, and transitions, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
* Administer assessments and deliver interventions under the guidance of teachers, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
* Work closely with school staff, external stakeholders, and families to ensure seamless communication and coordination of student support.
Essential Qualifications:
* Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
* Completion of anaphylaxis training.
* Certificate III or IV in School Based Education Support or relevant experience in schools.
Desirable Skills:
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
* Knowledge of Disability legislation and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data.
* Ability to work effectively under the direction of teachers and collaborate with colleagues.
