Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic senior librarian to provide bold and strategic leadership to deliver a unified vision for library learning experiences and scholarly research services that advance the university's strategic priorities in research excellence, student empowerment, innovation and inclusive communities.
The Associate Director bridges scholarly services with key stakeholders, ensuring seamless, high-quality service delivery that advance the university's strategy and mission.
Responsibilities Develop and apply contemporary ideas and solutions that meet library client needs Lead with flair, imagination, sound judgement and curiosity Full time, five (5) year contract, with competitive remuneration Melbourne, North Sydney or Brisbane based Qualifications and Experience You're tertiary qualified in Library Science or Information Management, coupled with conferring eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
You will have significant experience in leadership and management at senior level in an academic library, including demonstrated understanding of the higher education business environment, including financial, human resources, operational, compliance and risk.
Demonstrated track record in strategy, planning, service delivery and collections management; ability to develop meaningful internal and external client relationships; experience with emerging technology adoption and contemporary practice to drive change and deliver impact.
General information Reporting to the Library Director and contributing as a senior-level university librarian on external committees and professional groups.
Key to success is fostering an innovation culture aligned to ACU's mission and values, and championing change leadership initiatives across research, professional staff and executive audiences.
