Job Overview
Led quality assurance and analog design efforts, including test case development, sub-block ownership, high-performance product definition. Provided technical leadership, ensured design flow integrity, collaborated across teams, and drove continuous improvements through data-driven quality metrics and automation initiatives.
Scope
* Define, design, and qualify Infineon Design Systems, encompassing Flow & Methodologies and Foundation IP, to ensure high-quality design flows, optimal performance, and seamless integration, meeting the required standards and specifications.
* Executing test plans and verifying layouts across different technologies to ensure design system quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Define, design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases to ensure the quality of analog designs, including the creation and maintenance of new layout test cases for various features, covering all components from Design System.
* Ownership of analog sub-blocks/chip level (specification and implementation). It includes transistor and block level design, simulation, reliability and mixed mode simulations.
* Definition, design and release of high-performance converter /RF products and verification of complex designs and subsystems.
* Provide technical leadership and expertise to the team, including guidance on design methodologies, tools, and best practices.
* Work closely with the team to ensure that design flow quality is met, and that any issues are identified and addressed early in the release stages.
* Collaborate with Project Managers, release team, and internal teams to plan QA activities and ensure alignment with product releases.
* Review quality metrics frequently, analyzing data on defect rates, test coverage, and other KPI, and take effective actions to address any issues or trends that may impact product quality.
* Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities, including automating test cases, improving code and functional coverage metrics, and process improvements.
Requirements
* Education: BE/BTech (ECE, EEE, ENI) and/or ME/M.Tech (VLSI, ECE, EEE, ENI, Power Electronics, Microelectronics) or related.
* Experience: 10+ years in high-performance analog or mixed-signal IC development in advanced CMOS, BiCMOS, SOI processes; layout design in technologies with feature sizes 90nm, 65nm, 40nm, 22nm and below.
* Technical expertise: CAD flow and methodologies; analog and mixed-signal design simulation (schematic-based); knowledge of ESD concepts and circuit design principles; conducting QA for high-performance A/MS designs; programming languages (SKILL, Ocean, TCL); UNIX commands; automation and DevOps (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines); AI/ML based methodologies in VLSI.
* Soft skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
